This version of the centaur is much less common, and much smaller. They have a reputation as excellent messengers groundside, in part due to their all-terrain fleetness and excellent memory and navigation. The males have small compact antlers, which the females lack. Both sexes are described as agile and lithe. The breeds are difficult to discern by eye alone, one is better off looking for the mark tattoos of the two respective gods that most gladerunners are marked to. The species is most common in Thrace and Turkey, where their respective gods have territory, but they have recently become a common site in the Peloponnese as well, as the airborne conflicts make groundside messengers more attractive.
They can be somewhat difficult to interact with, since they're seemingly always on their way somewhere, and they have a habit of not aligning themselves to anyone else's causes, on account of their flighty nature. This can make them seem distanced and overly neutral at times. They don't have much centralized culture per se, since they tend to spread out and take employment nearly everywhere in Hellas, or even in the other realms. Native
G-Rs seem to place value on the capacity to remain neutral to all parties and thus remain out of the line of fire of the conflicts of other species.
They follow the same life cycle as their equine cousins, though they're strict herbivores. An incidental point, strobing lights in the dark can prove immensely distracting to them, in varying ways.
