Cervine satyrs bear passing resemblance to their ovine cousins, but are almost always smaller, with a very different antler set; and a sleeker, less hairy torso. Their legs are powerful, with very small hooves and graceful proportion. Their fur is almost always a brown or hazel, but light in the inner legs, insides of the ears, and underside of the tail. While their fur tends to be fairly static, their precise ratio of cervine and human characteristics can vary significantly from individual to individual. It's not uncommon for them to pick up random extra cervine traits and colourations here and there.

The species is known widely as a vagrant species, and one that's generally pleasant to socialize with. Their penchant for optimism, as well as their human faces, make them one of the less jarring transitions for forcemarks. They can be found almost anywhere, but will be regularly encountered in travel businesses, such as shipping or ground freight, taxi services, and the like. They're inclined to be reliable friends, but as with anything, there's a great deal of individual variation.

Their good natures and size lead some to underestimate them, since they can often be quite clever and/or ruthless in their dealings, and aren't at all shy, even to combat. They can be espescially vicious when defending their friends, family, and possessions. As a general rule, they'll be partial to short blades and concealable weapons.
