It's worth noting that most dragons' marks are unique, not aligned to one specific diety. Some theorize that most dragons seen to date simply predate the marking system and so have strange 'first-generation' marks. Others figure that dragon souls are simply more complex than those of others, and can therefore hold onto a wider range of marking.
In either case, dragons are almost exactly what one would expect, physically. They vary widely from one to another, some winged, some groundbound, some aquatic. There's a great deal of mystery and debate that surrounds them, partly oweing to their variety, partly their nature, and partly their general aloofness. If one encounters a dragon, the odds are that it will predate the return of the realms to earth by a very significant margin.
