Hemt

Realm: Kemet
Typical Height Range: 3'6" to 5'
Typical Weight Range: 60 to 110 lbs

Physiology

Hemt resemble anthropomorphic fennec foxes, though with the fun addition of a scorpion-like tail in place of cute fuzzbutt. They are generally small and wiry in build, with fur colours running the gamut of browns and creams. Their tail is always composed of six segments: A broad flat triangular segment that joins via ligaments to both hips through the upper buttocks, 4 oblong intermediate segments, and a stinger segment. Generally, the tail length is 3/4 to 1 times as long as the hemt's height. The tail is made of a hard chitin-like surface, but is covered in a short layer of dense fur, as well. Musculature runs along its inside, and it has no bones.

The hemt body stands fully upright, and they have a plantigrade stance. Their hands and feet resemble those of humans, but they do not have a hallux, and instead have 4 toes with extended central digits. Their feet are fully furred, including the bottoms, while their hands have short-furred palms but exposed pads in the outermost segments of each finger. Hands and feet both have "digging claws", which resemble those of a dog. Hemt genitalia is described as vulpine rather than human. Females have 2 breasts, and typical litter is 1 or 2, almost never more. Twins are common, but are always fraternal, and it is not uncommon for twins to have 2 different fathers.

Hemt facial features are relatively canid, with large ears that are each larger than the face itself (about 1 foot long by 6" wide). Most have longer fur on top of their heads which does not grow as rapidly as human hair, and is always very close to their fur colour. Some do not grow longer fur there at all. Hemt vision is usually about 15/20, and trichromatic. Their sense of smell is moderately better than human, while hearing range and sensitivity are both very acute.

Hemt diet is fully omnivorous, and reasonably robust. They'll eat anything that a human will, and some thing besides, tolerating more species of wild mushroom, insects, and meat that is "starting to turn funky", for example.
